At Totally Spain we’ve been living and working in the North of Spain since the year 2000, and always encourage our clients to visit this part of the country out of season when it’s so much easier to get around once the summer visitors have gone home. Here are just some of the things we enjoy doing here in Cantabria every Autumn.

Northern Spain – What to See & Do
We’ve been designing custom trips around Northern Spain ever since Totally Spain started out back in the year 2000. You might not know but we initially set up our business in Vitoria in the Basque Country, which was then an unknown part of Spain. Today, we are still based in Northern Spain in Cantabria, and although we do plan trips for all over Spain and Portugal, we love planning trips around this superb region. To make it even easier for you to see what’s so great, here’s our insider guide on What to See & Do in Northern Spain.
Totally Spain’s Guide to the Top Museums in Cantabria
We’re lucky to be based in Cantabria which is home to some amazing museums. When we leave the Totally Spain office (we’re a Spain-based travel agent and specialist in custom travel to Spain since 2000), there’s nothing we enjoy more than visiting these museums in Cantabria’s capital, Santander, and throughout the rest of the region too.

We have excellent museums, eye-popping cave art, postcard-perfect medieval towns, achingly cool urban retro architecture and chocolate-box hamlets on our doorstep, to step back in time, whenever we fancy…
Cantabria in the Summer Holidays
We’ve been busy following a number of bloggers trips to Cantabria and are not surprised how much they LOVE the region. They’re not alone. We loved it so much we located our travel business here (Totally Spain has been designing custom trips across Spain and Portugal since 2000!) It’s getting a bit busier here and the season is only just beginning. In addition to the surfers and fans of sailing that are starting to arrive into the bay of Santander, we also have the lecturers and students registering for the UIMP Summer university. Yip, it’s Summertime in Santander

If you love Spain, you’re going to adore Extremadura. It’s got everything you want from a trip to Spain – interesting history, stunning landscapes, a blend of old and new architecture, and amazing food and fun.
