Here at Totally Spain we’ve been planning Camino itineraries for clients since we started out in business over 16 years ago. Being based in Cantabria, we are keen walkers and hikers in our own spare time and we’ve recently decided to take on our first Camino as a family in 2017. Our chosen route is the Camino Lebaniego (pronounced Leh-bahn-yeh-go) which is the name of the ancient pilgrimage route that weaves its way inland from the sandy and dramatic Cantabrian coastline to the impressive Picos de Europa mountain range.
Not only does food and drink taste amazingly good in Spain but it looks so enticing too! Gastronomic traditions are respected here and great thought often goes in to the appearance, ceremony and overall presentation of food. Catering professionals can spend years learning the necessary skills that we often take for granted so we thought we’d highlight just some of the artistry that we appreciate in Spanish Gastronomy and have been enjoying along with our clients since we set up Totally Spain in the year 2000.

You see we’ve been planning itineraries throughout Spain since the year 2000, so here at Totally Spain we’ve learned a lot about the Spanish dishes that people expect to eat but can’t find or even worse – don’t enjoy. And we’ve added in a few dishes that our clients have enjoyed eating but wouldn’t have ordered without a tip-off from us.
