If you’ve never been to the very popular Cordoba Patio Festival in Andalusia why not visit this year? The event takes place every May with fifty or so patios competing for the title of best courtyard. As you can see, each one is prettier than the next – this is one of our favourite Spring festivals

International Sephardi Music Festival in Cordoba 17-21 June 2013
Held in the UNESCO World Heritage listed city of Cordoba, this is the 12th International Sephardi music festival in Spain that showcases the different traditions of Sephardic culture. This year’s programme of events includes concerts by Spanish and international artists, seminars, wine-tasting, cooking demonstrations, dance workshops, a children’s storytime and a documentary screening.

There’s still time to organise a visit to Cordoba Patios Festival. Don’t miss this chance to view these incredibly beautiful displays undertaken by the residents of these spectacular shared outdoor living spaces. Last December, UNESCO added the Cordoba patios to its heritage of humanity list which protects the life and lifestyle of the patios and what they mean for the local community. This competition dates back to 1918 and always attracts huge interest both nationally and internationally AND we expect this year to be bigger and better because of the UNESCO listing.
