We often plan a week off in a warmer climate during our Christmas break when it can get a bit chilly in Northern Spain. With so many Southern cities to choose from we are spoilt for choice (we’ve been customising trips across Spain and Portugal since 2000) but one place that keeps on drawing us back, is Lisbon. There’s something so refreshing about a Lisbon city break.
We’ve written recently about Spain’s Jewish heritage and today we’d like to highlight some of the more significant Jewish sights in Portugal where you can step back in time and get a sense of how this vibrant community lived and worked. We’ve just re-visited Portugal over the Easter holidays and thought we’d share some of our Portuguese trip with you. It’s the fourth family holiday there in less than two years.
